 Kathy is responsible for managing the company’s interests before Congress and within the Administration. She also serves on various trade and business associations, including the Solar Energy Industry Association and the Business Council for Sustainable Energy Board of Directors. First Solar is the global leader in photovoltaic (PV) solar energy solutions. With more than 8 gigawatts installed worldwide, First Solar has developed, financed, engineered, constructed and currently operates many of the world’s largest grid-connected PV power plants.

Prior to joining First Solar, Kathy worked for Centex Corporation, a leading national homebuilder. As Vice President of Government and Public Affairs, Kathy managed federal, state and local legislative and regulatory issues affecting the company. Kathy was also responsible for managing the Centex Political Action Committee as well as representing Centex within various trade and business associations. Prior to joining Centex, Kathy worked for MeadWestvaco, a global paper and packaging company, holding management positions in Government Relations and Investor Relations during her tenure.

Kathy has an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s degree in political management from the Graduate School of Political Management at George Washington University.
