John Eber manages the firm’s activities for tax motivated equity investments in energy assets. He directs a team of nineteen professionals who originate, structure and execute investments and advise other equity co-investors. Additionally, he oversees Energy Investments’ product development activities, management of its investment portfolio and is a member of its Investment Committee. Through year end 2009 John has been responsible for approximately $5.7 billion of renewable energy tax equity including over 5,800 MWs of wind power in 58 wind farms. Additionally, his team was the lead investor for the largest solar transaction ($266mm) in the US in 15 years and is actively proposing similar investments for geothermal and biomass projects. Over the past ten years he has been responsible for approximately $7 billion worth of tax equity energy investments for JPMorgan and its predecessor companies. He has been with JPMorgan and its predecessor companies Bank One and First Chicago since 1988. John has been a member of the Board of Directors of the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) since 2007 and is a frequent panelist and speaker for a variety of organizations including AWEA, the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE). John received a B.S. degree in economics from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois and a MBA with a specialization in finance from DePaul University, Chicago Illinois. |
